Barron Associates performs cutting-edge research in signal processing, communications, control systems, and related fields, and turns the results into high-quality software solutions for real-world problems. Our technologies support a wide variety of application areas, including systems that enable severely impaired individuals to communicate effectively, technologies that improve the safety of air transportation, development environments that facilitate robust engineering design for dynamic environments, and autonomous agents that analyze and respond to remotely sensed data.

We are seeking highly motivated software engineers with experience in designing system and software architectures. The ideal candidate will have a background that involves one or more of the following areas:

  • Numerical Methods
  • Computational Mathematics
  • High-Performance Computing
  • OpenCL and/or CUDA
  • Software Library Design
  • Signal Processing and Computer Vision

Advanced knowledge of C++ is required. Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink is highly desirable, and excellent communication skills are critical. At a minimum, applicants should hold an M.S. degree or a B.S. degree plus 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Barron Associates is a highly dynamic environment, providing contract R&D services to a wide range of government and industry partners.  Successful applicants will initially support ongoing development efforts related to:

  • Assistive technologies for the severely disabled
  • Space-based sensing and data analysis
  • Software to detect and remediate physical component failures that could endanger aircraft
  • Techniques for propagating uncertainties through non-linear feedback control systems

Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance.
