Our technologies support a wide variety of application areas, including systems that enable severely impaired individuals to communicate effectively, technologies that improve the safety of air transportation, development environments that facilitate robust engineering design for dynamic environments, and autonomous agents that analyze and respond to remotely sensed data.

We are seeking highly motivated engineers, scientists, and mathematicians with a passion for knowledge and the skills to turn concepts into reality.  The ideal candidate will have a research background in one or more of the following areas:

  • Probability Theory
  • Statistical Decision Theory
  • Detection and Estimation Theory
  • Communication and Information Theory
  • Signal Processing and Computer Vision
  • Probabilistic Optimal Control
  • Probabilistic Game Theory

Experience with either aerospace or biomedical applications is desirable, as is an interest in identifying emerging technology needs and developing new research concepts to address these needs.

Barron Associates is a highly dynamic environment, providing contract R&D services to a wide range of government and industry partners. Successful applicants will initially support ongoing research efforts related to:

  • Assistive technologies for the severely disabled
  • Space-based sensing and data analysis
  • Software to detect and remediate physical component failures that could endanger aircraft
  • Techniques for propagating uncertainties through non-linear feedback control systems

Applicants should hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. All experience levels will be considered. Strong programming skills in C++ and MATLAB/Simulink are desired.
